Together with 10 other Italian organisations in the 'Animals Vote Too' coalition, we launched the 'Vote for Animals' manifesto: 10 points for parties and future candidates in the European elections on 8 and 9 June to demand more protection and rights for animals in the EU.

10 POINTS FOR PARTIES AND CANDIDATES IN THE EUROPEAN ELECTIONS ON SATURDAY 8 AND SUNDAY 9 JUNE 2024 TO DEMAND MORE PROTECTION AND RIGHTS FOR ANIMALS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION:

Abolition of cages
Reform of European animal welfare legislation.
Ban the long-distance transport of animals for breeding and slaughter.
Transition to a plant-based diet.
Revision of the Common Agricultural Policy and conversion subsidies for livestock farms.
Replacement of animal testing
Protection of wildlife and support for wildlife sanctuaries.
Ban the production and trade of furs.
Tackling the straying and abandonment of dogs and cats.
Establishment of an animal welfare 'delegation' to the Commissioner for Health and Food Safety.
